One Last Time Before We Head to the Drama Festival...

Before Underdog: The Other Other Brontë travels south to represent Harlequin Theatre at the Drama Festival this August, we're opening the theatre doors for something we've never done before...

An Open Dress Rehearsal

Join us on Thursday 30 July 2026 at 7.45pm for a unique behind-the-scenes theatre experience. You'll see our cast's final full dress run before we pack up the set, costumes and props and head to the festival.

This isn't just another performance – it's your chance to experience the excitement, energy and final preparations that happen before a production leaves home. There'll even be a production photographer capturing the evening, so you'll get to witness the atmosphere of a genuine final dress rehearsal.

We're incredibly proud that our production received glowing praise from NODA, who described it as: "A thoughtfully crafted and highly engaging production." and "A powerful and memorable interpretation of the Brontë story."

It was nominated for a number of Cheshire Theatre Guild Awards including Best Director, Best Costume, Best Props and WON Best Actress for Emily Duffy as Charlotte Brontë and Best Light and Sound.

If you missed the original run – or would simply love to see the cast one final time before they represent Harlequin Theatre on the festival stage – we'd love to welcome you.

Tickets are just £8 and numbers are limited.

ANTIGONE

By Sophocles, A New Adaptations by Robert Meadows

Tues 13 Oct - Sat 17 Oct 2026, 7.45PM INC Sat Matinee 2pm

Bury the body. Break the system

After a brutal civil war, the city is trying to rebuild.

Two brothers have killed each other in the fight for power. The new ruler, Creon, declares one a hero - the other a traitor. One will be buried with honour. The other will be left to rot. Antigone refuses.

In defying the state, she risks everything: her future, her family, her life. But in a world ruled by fear and fragile authority, who gets to decide what’s right? The law? The leader? Or your own conscience?

A gripping story of protest, power and personal conviction - Antigone asks what happens when speaking up costs you everything… and staying silent costs even more.

GENRE: dystopian drama, a resistance story.
