We welcome director, Yvette Owen back to the Harlequin Theatre. Yvette regularly directs the summer production at the Harlequins. We bring you a newly available West End hit to the Harlequin stage this year in the 2019 Tony Award Winner for Best Play The Ferryman, written by theatre royalty Jez Butterworth.
County Armagh, Northern Ireland, 1981. The Carney farmhouse is a hive of activity with preparations for the annual harvest. A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. But this year they will be interrupted by a visitor.
'A serious, seriously good, grown-up play... something special' The Times
'A rich, serious, deeply involving play… what gives Butterworth's play such shattering force is its Hardyesque love of rural rituals and its compassionate exploration of unspoken love' Guardian
'A stunning, sprawling and richly written play… a mixing of the mythic and the modern' The Stage
If you would like to be involved on stage or backstage please complete this form to register your interest, this will then be sent to the director.
