Audiences asked and we responded! A retelling of Little Women for the stage is coming to Harlequin Theatre as our most highly voted production requested this year! Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy – four stories beautifully stitched together by Louisa May Alcott, holds a special place in many people’s hearts over many generations.

Harlequin Theatre is bringing this traditional story of family and love a little closer to home with the retelling taking place amidst the trials and tribulations of 1940 war-torn Liverpool. Father has gone to war, Marmee (Mum) must keep everyone safe amidst the impending blitz and the girls are determined to live life on their own terms – even when it means love and loss in the time of war.

This stunning production for stage keeps the heart of the March family at its core while honouring the 80th anniversary for the end of WWII, being both timely and timeless in this retelling.

We've an opportunity for the YOU to be in Little Women when it hits our stage.

To mark the 80th anniversary of VE day, we would like to feature as many pictures taken during WW2 as possible within Little Women. We've already had pictures submitted to us by those who have provided accounts and we'd now like to open that up to our local community too.

Photos don't just have to be of those in uniform, we would also love to see pictures from the home front, evacuees, daily life during WW2 and of course celebrating VE day. complete the form below to send your picture in or email harlequintheatrenorthwich@gmail.com

Harlequin Theatre LIVE

We held our first LIVE streamed performance at the theatre on Saturday 25 July 2020. Thank you to everybody who tuned in and made a donation toward the running of the theatre during this testing time. We would also like to say thank you to the Urban Trendz Theatre Team who bought this to our screens in a joint project with us raising some much needed funds. Our Chairperson took on the role of Lucy Fuller in this one woman show, ‘Where Do Little Birds Go?’ We have left up our promo video for ‘Where Do Little Birds Go?’ and the feedback we had.
